Community Picnic & Easter Egg Hunt, Good Friday 2025

Despite of the rain, the crowds gathered and hundreds of free Easter Eggs, funded by Great Boughton Council, were distributed to all the children who came to celebrate Easter with the Great Boughton Councillors on Queens Road Field. The searchers were brilliant in their finding of the coloured lolly sticks, hidden high and low!

Expertly organised and managed by Cllr McCartan and Cllr Miller, our Chair and Vice Chair of the Strategic Resources Committee, and manned & supported by so many of our wonderful volunteer Councillors; Cllr Bulmer, Cllr Collings, Cllr Felgate and her granddaughter Sophie, Cllr Flood, Cllr Otter, Cllr Myler, Cllr Scargill, Cllr Reeves and Cllr Whiteley, all braving the wind and rain for our Community.

The help of the Chester Grosvenor 76 Round Table and their fabulous Easter Bunny, played expertly by their Chair, Oliver Harris,  meant the line of children were soon served with their choice of Egg. And wonderful, steaming hot speciality coffees, hot chocolates and delicious baked goods were supplied by Carrie Anne and Coffee Cwtch van. Franco and his ice cream van served the crowds brave enough to eat ice cream in the rain!

We all had a wonderful afternoon and thank everyone of you for joining us for our annual Easter Celebrations.

Happy Easter from us to you all!
