Planning Applications
Great Boughton Parish Council (GBPC) is a statutory consultee which reviews planning applications in Boughton Heath, Vicars Cross and Caldy Valley, including proposals to extend or alter private properties, within the monthly Parish Council Meetings. The decision on what applications GBPC reviews is made with regard to the significance given to the application by Cheshire West and Chester Council – the Planning Authority for our area.
Applications are reviewed against the policies and principles of the Great Boughton Parish Council Plan. Comments are then submitted to the Cheshire West and Chester Council, which makes the final decision.
Most planning application decisions are made by Cheshire West and Chester Council officers acting under ‘delegated powers’ to apply the policies of the City Plan and other documents. Officers are also required to consider GBPC’s comments when arriving at a decision or recommendation, in addition to any representations received from neighbours or other stakeholders.
You can find the details of each Parish Council Meeting within the Meetings section on this website or on our GBPC noticeboards around the Community.
